The MIMME doctoral school aims to provide doctoral students with training allowing them to be open (scientific and/or general culture) through the organization of courses and seminars supplemented by specific lessons directly related to the disciplinary field of the doctoral student.
The teaching is supplemented by series of training courses useful for the development of their professional project (professional training), provided in conjunction with the College of doctoral schools in Poitiers. Doctoral students can also choose other courses organized by structures outside the Institutions (ISAE-ENSMA and University of Poitiers). In this case, it is their responsibility to provide the secretariat with the documents necessary for the validation of the training using the form available below. The defense authorization is conditional on the validation of 90 hours of training.
The Doctoral School provides 3 types of training:
Acquired experience: Participation in the collective actions of the host structures of the doctoral student. They include, among other things, participation in the various Councils (ED, CAC, CA, CDP, CDL, etc.), the organization of congresses, schools, JDDs, implication in events for the public (science week, Open House, MT180S,…). Hours are also credited for the first oral presentation of results at an international conference.
Specialty training: training ensuring consistency between the different scientific axes of ED MIMME. They are in phase with the thematic orientations of the laboratories of each site. They can be chosen from the training modules offered in the masters or by other doctoral schools on the site.
Professionalizing / transversal training: Courses are offered to all students from the doctoral schools of the ISEA-ENSMA and University of Poitiers establishments. Most of these courses are provided by the Doctoral College of Poitiers.
Training in ethics and scientific integrity: As per the decree of May 25, 2016, all doctoral students must follow during their thesis a course on ethics and scientific integrity. This training is compulsory and course hours are not included in the mandatory 90 hours. Registrations are made automatically by the assistants of the EDs.
Attendance allows you to validate your hours – you therefore need to by sign register for classes or provide an attendance certificate for seminars.
You may register to some courses via MIMME web site : Formations
Should you complete training outside the Docoral School, you may apply to validate those hours via the form below and upload you attendance certificate. Some activities (organization of Congresses, participation in events for the public such as Science Week, open days, etc.) or follow training courses offered by the company or University for off-site doctoral students can be taken into account in the 90 hours of compulsory training.
